My digital drawings are an extension of my interest in the dichotomy between tradition and technology. I continue to be rooted in tradition not only in my life but also in my work. Painting is at the basis of my work even in the digital pieces. This can be found in my use of ink on paper, that is then scanned and further manipulated with the computer. I use the computer as a tool to achieve an image that although has a traditional foundation also exhibits the idea of multiplicity and technology throughout. I am fascinated with using two different mediums in one piece to achieve a marriage between two different tools. My interest is to push the idea of multiplicity in gesture and medium yet continues to achieve a traditional outcome.
